About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Paradies Lagardere is responsible for the daily execution of the company's mission, which emphasizes providing first-class service to customers. This role involves partnering with the General Manager to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while overseeing specific leadership responsibilities within designated zones or terminals. The position requires a focus on customer service, operational excellence, financial performance, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly resolve all customer service and associate issues in accordance with core values.
  • Exceed first-class service standards with every customer and business partner.
  • Ensure store merchandising standards are executed per company guidelines.
  • Partner with the General Manager to implement organizational policies and goals.
  • Influence and make recommendations to achieve performance objectives in sales, expenses, inventory control, and payroll.
  • Train, motivate, and develop a professional team to achieve sales goals.
  • Build strong business relationships with airport management and brand partners.
  • Monitor and address performance issues while providing ongoing coaching and counseling.
  • Perform basic human resource functions including interviewing, succession planning, training, scheduling, and performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and high school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Minimum three years of leadership experience in merchandising, service industry, or operations environment.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in a 7/365 day team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication in English.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to unexpected situations.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, mathematics, and cash handling/reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to pass Federal Criminal History Records Check and Paradies Background Check.
