About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Applegreen is responsible for supporting the General Manager in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the Starbucks and Panera locations. This role is designed for entry-level managers to develop essential management skills, provide performance feedback, set goals, and foster teamwork. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain high standards of service and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in daily business operations.
  • Deliver performance feedback and set goals for team members.
  • Foster teamwork and communicate business objectives clearly.
  • Supervise non-management associates and assign work tasks.
  • Coach and develop shift supervisors to enhance performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adherence to brand standards in the restaurant.
  • Ensure accurate cash management and daily processing of reports.
  • Address customer needs and resolve issues to maintain positive relationships.
  • Perform spot inventory counts to ensure data accuracy.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent customer service abilities and a positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills with business acumen.
  • Basic understanding of food safety practices.
  • Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.
