About the position

The Assistant General Manager at True Food Kitchen plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality service and food during busy periods. This position involves managing front-of-house (FOH) employees, overseeing operations, and maintaining the restaurant's standards for food quality and service. The role requires a strong focus on employee development, financial management, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Run high volume service periods from the floor or expo to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
  • Perform precise line checks and facility walks, participating in EcoSure & Health inspections with BOH.
  • Manage all FOH employees, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and development.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work for FOH employees, conducting performance appraisals and managing discipline.
  • Manage FOH employee schedules and report payroll hours in compliance with company standards and state laws.
  • Oversee the beverage program, including inventory management, ordering, cost control, and training.
  • Facilitate development channels for management and key hourly team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a manager in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial aspects of business operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with an aptitude for coaching and driving excellence.
