About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Azzip Pizza plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager (GM) to achieve store performance goals. This hands-on position involves leading shifts, ensuring high standards of pizza quality and customer service, and being the primary point of responsibility in the absence of the GM. The AGM is also responsible for training staff, managing store operations, and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and serve customers while maintaining high standards for pizza quality and customer service.
• Teach and coach employees on Azzip's standards for ingredient preparation and pizza making.
• Support the GM in hiring and developing a strong team of employees and shift leaders.
• Open and close the store efficiently when needed.
• Communicate and resolve customer and employee concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
• Work with the GM to meet store food, payroll, and other controllable cost goals.
• Place nightly and weekly vendor orders.
• Create a fun and positive work environment.
