About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Farmer Boys is a mid-level management role responsible for overseeing restaurant operations, contributing to strategic business goals, and ensuring high-quality service and food safety. This position requires a strong leadership presence and the ability to manage day-to-day operations effectively while training and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning and execution of strategic business goals including profitability.
• Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
• Manage budgets and control costs, including labor and food expenses.
• Participate in the selection, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Oversee ongoing training and development of existing team members.
• Ensure effective productivity of day-to-day operations during shifts.
• Maintain high quality and consistency of food and beverage offerings.
• Handle record keeping, inventory management, and cash management procedures.
• Uphold company policies and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Safeguard restaurant keys and follow security procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State or County mandated Food Handler Card required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• 1 - 3 years of leadership/management experience in a restaurant or customer service establishment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a scheduled 50-hour work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
