About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Campus Life & Style plays a crucial role in enhancing resident experiences and fostering a positive workplace environment. This position involves leadership, staff development, property administration, financial performance management, and customer experience initiatives, ensuring high levels of engagement among employees and residents alike. The Assistant General Manager is expected to act as the General Manager in their absence, promoting a culture of service excellence and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to ensure high levels of employee and resident engagement.
• Assist the General Manager in training and developing team members.
• Coordinate and supervise activities of contracted services such as pest control and landscaping.
• Manage resident accounts and utility billing, ensuring compliance with policies and ordinances.
• Oversee property maintenance and ensure compliance with safety codes and company standards.
• Maintain occupancy and collections targets, ensuring financial performance meets company goals.
• Manage customer sales interactions and execute customer experience initiatives.
• Assist in hiring and improving employee retention.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 1 year of experience in the student/multi-family housing industry or equivalent education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with property management software (Entrata).
• Knowledge of market rate and LIHTC programs, Fair Housing Laws, and EEO Laws.
