About the position

MV Transportation is seeking an Assistant General Manager to provide leadership and direction to operating personnel, ensuring the successful delivery of the division's business plan in a fast-paced transit environment. This role involves overseeing operations, managing performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure performance indicators meet or exceed client and corporate expectations.
• Ensure division goals and objectives are met or exceeded.
• Ensure subordinate staff are well trained and successful.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are in place and being followed.
• Promote the company vision, values, and culture throughout operations.
• Minimize liquidated damages and correct failures promptly.
• Develop and maintain positive employee and labor relations.
• Directly oversee operations department managers.
• Train and mentor a future successor for backfill.
• Manage the Operations Department annual budget.
• Assume responsibility of the General Manager during their absence.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience managing paratransit operations or a similar position.
• Experience overseeing day-to-day operations of demand response passenger transportation.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for operating demand response transportation services.
• Experience managing staff and driver schedules to meet service demand.
• Proficiency in Trapeze software.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Strong supervision skills with the ability to lead others to success.
