About the position

The Assistant General Manager at AmishView Inn & Suites plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading the front desk management team. This position emphasizes employee satisfaction and operational efficiency, contributing to the hotel's financial goals while fostering a positive work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in directing overall hotel operations with a focus on employee and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the front desk management team to meet guest needs across departments.
  • Ensure high standards of exceptional guest experience at all touch points.
  • Maintain schedule oversight to ensure efficiency and productivity in guest service.
  • Participate in hiring, training, developing, coaching, and performance management of team members.
  • Communicate staff issues and needs to the General Manager and assist in forming solutions.
  • Review and understand financial reports to contribute to the business's bottom line.
  • Jump into position and assist across departments when necessary.
  • Follow safety and emergency procedures as the central point of contact.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of hospitality industry leadership experience with proven guest service skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fluency in English, with familiarity in Spanish being helpful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Strong ability to oversee and facilitate a high-quality guest experience.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully in stressful situations.
  • Ability to pivot and re-prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Understanding of maintaining a positive company culture.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and provide regular performance feedback to team members.
