About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Jared the Galleria of Jewelry plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager to enhance customer experience and drive sales both in-store and virtually. This position involves overseeing operations in the absence of the General Manager, developing teams, and implementing company initiatives to achieve sales and profit excellence. The role emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and the use of advanced technology to meet customer needs and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in attaining sales and profit excellence as set by the Company.
  • Maximize the in-store and virtual sales potential of all Team Members through training and development.
  • Achieve sales results in repair and custom design services in collaboration with the in-store and Design and Service Center Teams.
  • Develop technical knowledge of repairs and custom design services.
  • Estimate costs on watch and jewelry repairs and execute minor repairs as needed.
  • Train the in-store team in all areas related to repair services.
  • Oversee the implementation of all health and safety policies to ensure team member and customer safety.
  • Train team to use all platforms for selling, training, and outreach including digital technology and social media.
  • Assist the General Manager to recruit and build a team of top talent.
  • Collaborate with the District Recruiter on building a highly engaged, results-driven team.
  • Communicate and train team on new product launches and ensure product knowledge for exceptional customer experience.
  • Evaluate Team Member's performance to identify developmental needs and celebrate success.
  • Establish a positive, professional work atmosphere to inspire and motivate others to achieve store goals.
  • Maintain transparent and open communication with Team Members and management.
  • Encourage Team Members to innovate and share ideas.
  • Adhere to all Company Policies including security and loss prevention.
  • Assist General Manager in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
