About the position

The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing restaurant operations, supporting the General Manager in ensuring the establishment's success. This leadership position requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with a solid background in the food service industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
• Create and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other business partners.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee food preparation and quality control to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in training and mentoring staff members to provide exceptional service.
• Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.

Requirements

• 2+ years of proven experience as a FOH Manager or similar role in the food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of catering, banquet, coffee, culinary, food handling, food preparation, restaurant operations, and food production is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant metrics.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and make confident decisions.
