About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Taco Bell is responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation, ensuring a positive experience for both employees and guests. The Assistant Manager aims to create a supportive environment that fosters team unity and delivers exceptional customer service while driving profitability and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Reinforce the Border Foods CORE values among team members.
  • Guide team members and Shift Leaders to complete assigned duties and serve safe, quality food.
  • Monitor team performance and hold members accountable for standards and expectations.
  • Ensure a quality customer experience by driving fast and friendly service.
  • Maintain the point of sale system and report any failures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Create unity within the team and respond to employee questions.
  • Provide a safe working environment for team members and customers.
  • Handle customer complaints with a sincere approach.
  • Develop short-term and long-term strategies for restaurant success.
  • Utilize P&L statements to make financial adjustments and deliver profit.
  • Source, hire, and develop excellent team members.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and develop training plans.
  • Minimize loss through adherence to cash handling policies and training.
  • Demonstrate efficient labor control, inventory control, and waste management.
  • Build team capabilities and provide learning opportunities.
  • Offer guidance and coaching to team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of restaurant or retail experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
  • Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • ServeSafe Certified.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
