About the position

Stretch Pizza is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the floor during service, ensuring that both team member and guest experiences align with the company's standards and goals. This role involves directing and coaching staff, inspiring excellence in service, and maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Works with the General Manager to develop and execute strategies to achieve service goals.
• Monitors and fine-tunes clear strategic initiatives.
• Acts as a leader for the entire team, uniting staff towards a common goal of raising standards and delivering performance.
• Participates in weekly manager meetings and implements weekly pre-shift goals.
• Ensures the restaurant team delivers top service standards and interacts with customers to cultivate regulars and gather feedback.
• Ensures consistent execution of food, beverage, service, and hospitality that aligns with company values.
• Creates a talent pipeline of front-of-house team members.
• Ensures operational and training standards are consistently followed by the restaurant team.
• Ensures proper sanitation standards are met in accordance with DOH guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years experience in a management position overseeing a full-service restaurant and/or quick service restaurant, preferably in pizza or Italian cuisine.
• A passion for excellence in hospitality.
• Proven track record of overseeing high-revenue streams.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and digitally.
• Excellent strategic planning skills with an emphasis on delivering, executing, and assessing action plans.
• Ability to effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitude.
• A solid track record of leading high-caliber service.
• Bartending experience is a must.
• Flexible work schedules: the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business permits.
