The Assistant General Manager at Taco Bell plays a crucial role in supporting the restaurant's operations and the General Manager. This position involves managing shifts, overseeing team members, and ensuring that the restaurant meets brand standards. The Assistant General Manager is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to perform all restaurant jobs, while also assisting in administrative duties and team member development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team members and Shift Managers to ensure they complete all assigned duties and serve safe, high-quality food in a timely manner.
• Ensure the restaurant is a safe place for team members and customers.
• Ensure all team member training and certifications are completed as planned.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
• Assist in the development of Shift Managers and future leaders.
• Support the General Manager with restaurant maintenance and operations.
• Assist in finding, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
• Help maintain consistent strong financial results for the restaurant.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Two years of restaurant experience required with proven leadership experience on all shifts.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Ability to read, speak, comprehend, and write in English.
• Must maintain a current Health Card according to state or local requirements.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check including MVR.
• Must be able to pass the SERV Safe Certification Course and Exam.
