About the position

The Assistant General Manager supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in managing shifts and performing administrative tasks. In the absence of the RGM, the Assistant General Manager ensures the restaurant operates according to Taco Bell standards, focusing on team management, customer service, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage work shifts and complete administrative duties.
  • Provide leadership in the absence of the RGM to ensure restaurant operations meet Taco Bell standards.
  • Ensure Team Members, Team Member Trainers, and Shift Leads complete assigned duties.
  • Serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner.
  • Assist the RGM with facility maintenance.
  • Find, hire, and develop great Team Members and Shift Leads.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Solve customer complaints quickly and positively.
  • Provide feedback to restaurant team members in a constructive manner.
  • Follow cash, security, inventory, and labor policies and procedures.
  • Read and understand reports to respond appropriately to solve problems.

Requirements

  • Experience in a management role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to solve customer complaints effectively.
  • Understanding of cash, security, inventory, and labor policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in the food service industry.
