About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a crucial role in the management team of a Jiffy Lube service center, focusing on driving sales success and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position offers a competitive starting pay of $15.25 per hour, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses. The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to ensure operational excellence, team engagement, and adherence to quality control measures, while also fostering a positive work environment and supporting the development of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the General Manager to ensure consistent revenue growth.
  • Coach and execute excellent customer service while creating an exceptional guest experience.
  • Set a positive example as a leader while building team engagement and efficiency.
  • Develop teammates by leveraging the internal training program and providing ongoing guidance.
  • Ensure quality control measures and processes are followed consistently.
  • Assist the General Manager with budgeting, sales forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Provide clear and detailed direction to the team consistently.
  • Ensure the service center is clean, safe, and presentable.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to automotive technicians and customer service associates.
  • Perform opening and closing duties when the General Manager is off.
  • Lead daily team huddles and store meetings to set direction for achieving business goals.
  • Manage inventory and product orders to meet business needs.
  • Assist guests with their questions and needs.

Requirements

  • One to three years of retail management experience.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups.
  • Sound business sense and understanding of the retail industry.
  • Ability to analyze and recommend financial objectives to increase sales.
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible retail environment.
  • 'Guest First' mindset.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to stand on hard surfaces and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional automotive experience is not required but is a plus.
