The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Beatrix Chicago plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. This position involves overseeing daily business activities, supporting the General Manager in various administrative and operational tasks, and fostering a positive work environment that aligns with the company's Culture of Caring. The AGM is responsible for leading teams, managing costs, and enhancing guest experiences in a high-volume, full-service restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day business operations run smoothly
• Assist with training, recruiting, HR and administrative duties
• Assist with financial statement preparation and customer service inquiries
• Organize, run and supervise daily opening and closing shifts
• Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams
• Respond immediately and effectively to guest and employee needs
• Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and growing the business
• Partner with GM to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop BOH employees
• Perform regular and ad hoc inventories of food, beverage and restaurant supplies
• Model and promote teamwork across all teams
• Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges
• Work a variety of days and shifts, including early mornings, late nights and weekends
• Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience
• 2+ years of AGM experience in a full-service restaurant
• Skilled in leading and developing teams
• Experienced with inventory and BOH systems
