About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Enmarket Convenience Stores will support the General Manager in achieving operational sales and profitability goals while ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves leading a team, maintaining store cleanliness, managing inventory, and executing marketing programs. The position is crucial for fostering a positive shopping experience and driving food service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to customers and serve as a role model for employees.
• Lead and direct positive and professional relationships with co-workers, guests, and vendors.
• Communicate respectfully and maintain a consistent team-oriented attitude.
• Ensure a courteous and excellent shopping experience for every guest.
• Efficiently complete guest transactions and suggest complementary products.
• Resolve customer complaints and problems quickly and effectively.
• Drive excellence in food service by executing processes and implementing sales goals.
• Ensure all food offers are available and preparation areas are clean.
• Encourage and manage a high standard of store cleanliness.
• Direct, monitor, and adhere to all safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations.
• Execute shift duties and maintain overall presentation standards.
• Help train, develop, and coach employees to achieve maximum potential.
• Provide feedback on employee performance to the General Manager.
• Execute all marketing and promotional programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
• Maintain inventory and cash control.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year(s) management experience in food service, retail, or restaurant preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume, guest-focused environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
