About the position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Sky Zone in Mission Viejo, CA is a developmental role aimed at preparing individuals for future General Manager positions. The AGM will oversee park operations, focusing on people and revenue management while fostering a positive park culture and ensuring a memorable guest experience. This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership and a commitment to mastering all aspects of park management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing park operations and staff management.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating ethics and integrity in all actions.
  • Act as the Leader on Duty, providing guidance to Supervisors and Team Members.
  • Become an expert in park operations, safety, and guest experience.
  • Support the GM in talent selection, interviewing, and onboarding new Team Members.
  • Train and develop Team Members in sales, safety, and compliance.
  • Manage Team Member performance and employee relations with GM and HR support.
  • Coordinate scheduling of the team based on park needs and events.
  • Create a positive park culture by recognizing team successes.
  • Engage with customers to provide memorable experiences and manage feedback.
  • Drive sales results and motivate the sales team.
  • Assist in organizing Member VIP events and managing the Member community.
  • Share ideas to increase park profitability and educate the team on KPIs.
  • Assist with party sales and event coordination, ensuring a positive experience for guests.
  • Communicate effectively with facilities and maintenance teams to ensure park safety and cleanliness.
  • Help manage inventory and oversee safety processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume customer service field such as recreation, fitness, retail, or hospitality.
  • Basic proficiency in technology including MS Office Suite and POS systems.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Reliable, coachable, self-motivated, and organized.
