About the position

The Assistant General Manager will play a vital role in the daily operations of a fast-paced quick service restaurant. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly, maintains high standards of food quality and service, and fosters a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee food management processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
  • Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS, to ensure accurate transactions and reporting.
  • Support budgeting efforts by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures.
  • Lead shift management activities to ensure optimal staffing levels and efficient workflow.
  • Develop training programs for new staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance team management practices, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and conducting stock audits.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service industry, preferably in a quick service fast food restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of food management practices and health regulations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is preferred.
  • Solid budgeting skills with the ability to analyze financial reports.
  • Effective shift management capabilities to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Experience in training development to enhance staff performance and knowledge.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
