Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in managing day-to-day salon operations.
  • Oversee scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet client demand.
  • Ensure the salon is clean, well-maintained, and adheres to all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure products are well-stocked and properly displayed.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure all staff deliver exceptional service and create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and work to resolve them efficiently.
  • Support the General Manager in recruiting, training, and developing salon staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and provide ongoing training.
  • Assist in managing the salon's budget and financial performance.
  • Monitor sales, track performance metrics, and implement strategies to achieve targets.
  • Handle cash management, including daily reconciliations and bank deposits.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Coordinate promotional events and special offers.
  • Manage the salon's social media presence and engage with the online community.
  • Lead and manage special projects, such as salon renovations, new service launches, or community events.
  • Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with the General Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Maintain accurate records of client appointments, sales, and inventory.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the General Manager on salon performance and staff productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all salon policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a salon or retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for natural hair care and styling.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in salon management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, executing, and closing projects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in cosmetology, business management, or project management is a plus.
