About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Camphor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in a high-volume restaurant environment. This role requires a blend of financial management, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure a seamless dining experience while maintaining the restaurant's Michelin Star standards. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who thrives under pressure and is passionate about food and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations including scheduling, supply ordering, and staff management.
  • Oversee financial paperwork including invoicing and reporting.
  • Train staff to meet Michelin standards and best practices.
  • Handle guest and staff complaints related to quality and safety.
  • Plan marketing, advertising, and special events for the restaurant.
  • Conduct interviews, orientations, and performance reviews for hourly employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
  • Experience managing a revenue of $5M+ and a team of 50+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations including food, beverage, and guest experience.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including weekends, late nights, and holidays.
  • Proficient in restaurant management software such as Aloha, R365, and G Suites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a Michelin Star restaurant or similar high-end dining establishment.
  • Knowledge of wine and beverage pairings.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
