About the position

The General Manager position at our client's national distribution center involves leading a team in a 24/7 warehouse environment, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance goals are met. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage budgets and P&L statements, with an expectation of relocation within the US after training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure a safe working environment for all employees in a 24/7 warehouse environment.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the transportation and warehouse management teams.
  • Execute company processes successfully to ensure 100% compliance and meet annual performance goals.
  • Participate in the development of budgets and P&L statements.
  • Present at customer and employee meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or operations related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of related industry experience.
  • 4 years of people leadership experience.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined team player.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and focus on results.
