About the position

The Supervisor, Retail Operations plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the Dispensing Facility, ensuring compliance with medical cannabis regulations, and overseeing staff training and patient interactions. This position is responsible for inventory management, record retention, and maintaining the security and confidentiality of patient information, while also acting as a liaison between various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Managers with interfacing and consulting with qualified patients and caregivers regarding medical marijuana products.
  • Oversee all activities related to the operation of the Dispensing Facility, including patient identification and registration.
  • Ensure compliance with the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program rules and regulations.
  • Supervise dispensary staff training and education in the absence of the Manager.
  • Monitor all point of sale transactions and manage patient-specific logs as required.
  • Handle the receipt, storage, and auditing of all inventory, and order new inventory and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records using BioTrackTHC, the inventory tracking software program.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts as the responsible party at the Dispensing Facility.
  • Develop and implement the Dispensing Facility's privacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA.
  • Act as a liaison between staff, dispensary management, law enforcement, and the local community.
  • Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish operational goals in compliance with safety procedures.
  • Establish methods to follow the operating plan and maintain records required by public health law.
  • Ensure quality assurance plans to detect, identify, and prevent dispensing errors related to product packaging and labeling.
  • Manage policies and procedures for retesting of returned products and meet reporting requirements for adverse events and product recalls.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hands-on responsibility for the full scope of human resources activities, both operations and analysis.
  • Passionate about handling all aspects of a retail operation including staffing schedules, compliance, inventory control, purchasing, and theft prevention.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a high growth environment.
  • Operations management experience including production oversight and accountability.
  • Excellent consulting skills and strong conflict management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening, coaching, and training.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the cannabis industry or related fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical marijuana regulations and compliance standards.
