About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Agave & Rye is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, ensuring high standards in guest service, food quality, and employee performance. This role requires strong leadership skills to train and develop staff while maintaining a fun and energetic work environment that aligns with the company's EPIC culture.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop employees and team leaders
• Delegate tasks to the team and provide follow-up
• Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
• Ensure the team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards are met
• Staff and schedule appropriately to member volume
• Ensure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in place

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time-management skills
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused restaurant
• Possess a positive attitude and ethics that support the company's values
