About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Sushi-san Nashville will oversee daily operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient restaurant environment. This role involves training and managing staff, handling customer service inquiries, and supporting the General Manager in achieving financial goals. Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day business operations run smoothly
• Assist with training, recruiting, HR and administrative duties
• Organize, run and supervise daily opening and closing shifts
• Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams
• Respond immediately and effectively to guest and employee needs
• Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and growing the business
• Partner with GM to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop BOH employees
• Perform regular and ad hoc inventories of food, beverage and restaurant supplies
• Model and promote teamwork across all teams
• Work a variety of days and shifts, including early mornings, late nights and weekends
• Move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Requirements

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience
• 2+ years of AGM experience in a full-service restaurant
• Skilled in leading and developing teams
• Experienced with inventory and BOH systems
