About the position

As an Assistant General Manager at SONIC Drive-In, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of the Drive-In alongside the General Manager. Your primary goal is to ensure quality food service in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, providing an enjoyable experience for guests. This role is the highest management position within the Drive-In, making you accountable for all operations and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with hiring, training, managing, supervising, directing, and developing staff.
• Demonstrate a Fair, Firm, Fun leadership approach and lead by example.
• Manage a profit and loss statement to exceed expectations weekly, monthly, and yearly.
• Swiftly resolve employee concerns with a thoughtful approach.
• Celebrate team successes and coach for better performance.
• Set expectations and provide clear and continuous feedback to the team.
• Create an upbeat positive atmosphere during shifts.
• Help employees understand their roles by sharing the rationale behind tasks.
• Use metrics to evaluate Drive-In performance and assist with necessary improvements.
• Maintain and enforce SONIC safety and sanitation standards.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Prior management experience in the restaurant or retail industry is highly preferred.

• Positive attitude, especially during rushes or stressful situations.

• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks accordingly.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred.
