About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Taco Bell plays a crucial role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager by ensuring operational excellence and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. This position emphasizes leadership development, team management, and financial accountability while fostering a positive work environment that aligns with Taco Bell's culture of innovation and customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction
  • Maintain day-to-day financial controls
  • Create and manage staff schedule
  • Exercise proper food handling, equipment maintenance, and facility management
  • Ensure health and safety inspections and standards are met
  • Provide regular feedback to the RGM on the performance of Team Members
  • Actively participate in the training of Team Members
  • Handle conflicts constructively and work with RGM to achieve resolution
  • Assist profit & loss management by following cash control/security procedures
  • Oversee proper product preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking, and holding times
  • Assist RGM with facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times
  • Understand posted work schedule and report to work as scheduled, on time, in uniform and ready to begin tasks
  • Take action without being told, going beyond what is simply required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED, College or University Degree Preferred
  • 1-3 years of operational management experience in the Quick Service Restaurant industry or retail environment including Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Basic personal computer literacy
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent time management
  • Basic business math and accounting skills to manage Profit & Loss in their restaurant
  • Strong analytical/decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Good oral/written communication skills and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with exceptional team building capability

Nice-to-haves
