About the position

The Assistant General Manager at The Matador in Seattle, WA, is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the General Manager. This role is designed for upward mobility within the management structure of Opper Melang Restaurants, focusing on leadership, team development, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of restaurant operations and assume responsibility in the General Manager's absence.
• Ensure memorable hospitality is provided to guests through exceptional service and knowledge of the brand.
• Lead by example, inspiring teamwork and leadership among staff.
• Train, develop, and coach team members based on their unique learning styles.
• Manage inventory, ordering, cleanliness, and maintenance of the restaurant and equipment.
• Balance guest satisfaction with business objectives and operational goals.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of front-of-house management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Intermediate working knowledge of bar and alcohol service.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a hands-on coaching approach.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a professional appearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in bar management.
• Valid Driver's License.
