About the position
Canby High School is seeking an Assistant Girls Soccer Coach to support the girls' soccer program starting on October 30, 2024. This position is contingent upon fundraised dollars and is not district-funded. The role involves working closely with high school students, families, and school staff to ensure a positive and productive soccer experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coaching the girls' soccer team during practices and games.
- Work collaboratively with the head coach to develop training plans and strategies.
- Supervise and mentor student-athletes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding team activities and expectations.
- Participate in required trainings and adhere to school and district policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ability to work successfully with high school students and the public.
- Knowledge of emergency first aid procedures.
- Ability to meet criminal records requirements of the state of Oregon.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience or knowledge of interscholastic soccer coaching techniques.
- Experience in student supervision.
