The Assistant Hospital Manager is a full-time permanent position that plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the hospital. The successful candidate will be required to work day shifts, evening shifts, and weekend shifts on a rotating basis, as well as be on call as needed. This position reports directly to the Hospital Manager and is integral to ensuring that the hospital runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the Assistant Hospital Manager will oversee the workflow of receptionists, patient care managers, and team medicine assistants. Regular assessments of the team will be conducted to ensure a high level of client service is delivered at all times. Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all employees is essential, as is projecting a positive clinic image and adhering to clinic policies and procedures. The Assistant Hospital Manager will also be responsible for producing the monthly schedule for all teams, ensuring appropriate shift coverage while managing hours to budget, including holiday coverage and on-call rotation. The role involves active participation in recruiting team members, conducting interviews, and providing training and coaching to both new hires and existing staff. Addressing client concerns and complaints is a key responsibility, and the Assistant Hospital Manager will participate in a rotation of the on-call phone, managing sick calls from staff, reallocating staff between departments, and covering shifts as needed. In addition to managerial duties, the Assistant Hospital Manager will oversee the flow of appointments, manage hospitalized patients and daily treatments, assist in sedation and anesthetic procedures, and manage medication and inventory. Reception duties include greeting clients, addressing their requests, handling emergency situations, and providing information about services and products. Administrative responsibilities encompass daily opening and closing duties, data recording, managing client accounts, and following cash handling policies. This position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
