About the position

The Assistant Hospitality Leader at Range Cafe is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high standard of hospitality, safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations. This role involves managing staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring guest satisfaction while adhering to the company's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide clear direction to hourly employees and communicate necessary updates to management during shift changes.
• Perform standard management duties including opening and closing the restaurant, completing employee checkouts, and cash handling.
• Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food handling and building maintenance.
• Conduct daily line checks to ensure food quality, flavor, and freshness.
• Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
• Receive food and beverage deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity.
• Monitor employee clock-in and clock-out times, making necessary adjustments for scheduling.
• Investigate and resolve guest complaints regarding food, service, or accommodations.
• Promote a hospitable environment and ensure all employees adhere to company policies and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.
• Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Toast POS and US Foods inventory and ordering system.
• Familiarity with Google Calendar and current timekeeping processes.
