About the position

The Assistant Hospitality Manager at Uccello's of Rockford is responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in sales, guest service, food quality, and cleanliness. This role requires a passionate individual who is committed to providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a positive experience for both guests and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve sales and guest service objectives.
  • Ensure guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Ensure food and products are prepared and served according to restaurant standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and cleanliness through team training.
  • Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures.
  • Assist team members to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Develop team members in all areas of service and operations.
  • Ensure correct unit count and condition of received products according to policies.
  • Comply with health, safety, and labor regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • At least three years of experience in full-service, casual dining.
  • Experience with full-service alcohol serving facilities is desirable.
  • Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a POS system.
  • Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office and email.
  • Ability to communicate in the predominant language(s) of the restaurant's operating area.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Leadership experience of at least 1 year in a restaurant setting.
