About the position

The Assistant Hospitality Services Director/Chef Manager at Harvest Table Culinary Group is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and culinary experiences. This role involves hands-on management of culinary teams, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining client relations while meeting budget requirements and executing company programs.

Responsibilities

  • Train and manage front of the house and culinary teams, supervising all related culinary activities.
  • Deliver client and company financial targets.
  • Bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management.
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus.
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and uphold safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
  • Supervise team regarding production, quality, and control.
  • Lead the front and back of the house of the dining operations in conjunction with the Food Service Director.
  • Reward and recognize employees.
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.

Requirements

  • Requires 3 years of experience in a related position.
  • Requires 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
  • Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems.
  • Requires oral, reading, and written communication skills.
