About the position

The Assistant HR Generalist at Proven Business Systems LLC plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by assisting with various human resources procedures. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the HR field, as it exposes them to all facets of human resources operations. The Assistant HR Generalist will be involved in payroll administration, time and labor management, onboarding processes, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a professional communicator, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. In this role, the Assistant HR Generalist will work closely with the Payroll Manager to verify payroll changes, ensuring the accuracy of salaries, bonuses, expenses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. They will assist in the timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Additionally, the Assistant HR Generalist will manage the Time and Labor system, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date. This position requires a team-oriented individual who can partner effectively with leadership and HR team members to complete various HR tasks. The Assistant HR Generalist will also be responsible for informing applicants about position details, including benefits and pre-employment paperwork. They will distribute reminders for employee performance evaluations and ensure that these evaluations are completed on time. Other responsibilities include coordinating events, managing employee apparel orders, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The role may require travel between locations as needed, and the Assistant HR Generalist will perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Payroll Manager to verify payroll changes, memo completion and accuracy of changes in salaries, bonuses and expenses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Assists in the accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Assist in managing the Time and Labor system for accuracy.
  • Keeping process paperwork and employment records.
  • Partner with leadership and HR team members to complete various HR tasks.
  • Inform applicants about position details, including benefits, duties and pre-employment paperwork.
  • Distributes and supports reminders of employee performance evaluations and ensures they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Complete events setup and coordination.
  • Aid with employee apparel orders and coordination for the yearly orders.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Travel between locations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related experience
  • 1-4 years' experience in human resources and payroll experience
  • Previous experience with ATS systems and payroll processing is a plus
  • Previous Paylocity experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Efficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Multitasking skills
  • Highly organized and professional
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's licenses and vehicle
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
