About The Position

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager position at Buckle is designed for individuals looking to advance their retail management skills. This role involves working closely with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to drive sales, recruit and train new team members, and provide leadership in the store. The AIT will take on additional responsibilities as they progress, including acting as the Store Manager in their absence, while maintaining a focus on customer service and team development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver 30lbs throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise based on Guest needs.
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest's needs by suggesting additional items.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and share that knowledge with the Team.
• Achieve personal sales goals set by Store Management.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies.
• Build good Guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
• Lead by example with high levels of showmanship and customer service.
• Recognize and communicate Guest Levels with the Team.
• Coach and motivate Teammates to meet sales presentation standards.
• Own and influence product through zone ownership and visual standards.
• Execute and teach all Point of Sale (POS) procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store.
