About the position

At FLEET Early Learning Station, we offer a traditional learning environment that focuses on kindergarten readiness in a loving, educational, and fast-paced atmosphere. We are seeking Assistant Teachers to add to our amazing Infant Program. Ideal candidates will excel in customer service, love working with children, and enjoy working in a close team environment. Located in Western Shawnee, we have nine classrooms that range from infants to Pre-K. We even offer school age in the summer. Please note: Hourly wage is determined by education, qualifications, position, and experience working in a preschool or daycare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a productive rapport with children and families.
  • Implement curriculum in a creative fashion driven by positive reinforcement and centered around the Kansas Early Standards.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child.
  • Ensure communication with management is provided as needed.
  • Manage daily schedules of each learner with the highest quality of care.
  • Partner with families and provide communication regarding each child's daily progress.
  • Adhere to the KDHE licensing regulations as well as company policies.
  • Maintain annual Kansas Trainings as required by KDHE.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
