About the position

The Assistant Infant Teacher at Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center is responsible for supporting the lead teacher in providing a nurturing and educational environment for infants. This role involves implementing the center's curriculum, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, assessing their progress, and maintaining communication with parents. The position emphasizes a strong understanding of early childhood development and adherence to state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and duties.
• Implement the curriculum and philosophy of the center.
• Provide developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate and challenge infants.
• Assess children's progress and needs regularly.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.

Requirements

• Education in Early Childhood: BA, CDA, or Associates degree, or a CPL 3.
• Thorough understanding of early childhood development.
• Valid certifications in First Aid, Child Abuse, CPR, and Communicable Disease (or willingness to obtain).
• Completion of 30 hours of approved Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) training every 2 years.

Nice-to-haves
