About the position
The University of Central Missouri is seeking a full-time Assistant Instructor of Management to teach undergraduate and MBA-level courses within the Department of Management. This role emphasizes quality teaching, student engagement, and professional development, while also contributing to departmental service and curriculum innovation. The successful candidate will be expected to mentor students and participate actively in the academic community.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Management and related fields.
- Contribute to course development and innovation in teaching methods.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service obligations on the Warrensburg campus.
- Engage in research, scholarship, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree appropriate to teach management discipline courses from an AACSB-accredited institution.
- Professional experience in management, entrepreneurship, or human resources, or recent publications in the field.
- Demonstrated experience in effective communication within a diverse environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Excellent record of teaching in collegiate or organizational settings.
- 3-5 years of relevant business experience.
- Ability to teach in multiple delivery formats (face-to-face, hybrid, asynchronous, and synchronous).
- Understanding of team-based, experiential, and applied methods of learning in the classroom.
- Potential to research and publish in business management disciplines.
