The position requires fieldwork, where the Assistant Integration Engineer will assist project teams and subcontractors in the installation of electronic equipment, cabling, and provide field engineering, commissioning, and start-up solutions for project designs developed by the Networks, Integration & Automation (NIA) team for client projects across the nation. Key responsibilities include performing pre-engineering site visits according to defined checklists, overseeing installations by self-perform or subcontractors, and assessing the physical installation readiness for commissioning based on design specifications. The role also involves making physical changes as per design specifications, such as installing fiber and copper cabling, mounting devices, and conducting various tests on cables and devices using specialized tools. In addition to fieldwork, the Assistant Integration Engineer may assist senior engineers with office-based engineering design support during periods without fieldwork. This includes supporting the design of telecommunications networks, preparing project deliverables, and executing complex assignments that may involve the development of new or improved processes and technologies. The role requires effective communication with clients and project teams to ensure project deliverables meet client satisfaction and adhere to internal quality assurance guidelines.
