About the position

The Assistant Inventory Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the inventory department by ensuring efficient and effective operations. This position involves collaborating with team members to manage inventory tasks, operate machinery, and maintain safety standards while contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Itemizing materials for upcoming concrete production pours.
• Receiving and unloading incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, and efficiently organizing materials for inventory storage.
• Safely operating a forklift to transport and position materials as needed.
• Tracking daily materials being used by the production department.
• Assisting with tracking inventory counts.
• Laying out assembly materials along designated bed lines to help with the efficiency of the production schedule.
• Assisting with improving or completing safety procedures that require periodic annual inspections.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
• Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions.
• Dedicated and self-motivating work ethic.
• Reliability and ability to work independently as well as with a variety of personalities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed.
• Physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior construction experience preferred, but not required.
