About the position

The IT Project Manager at Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) plays a crucial role in managing and executing various healthcare-related projects. This position involves conducting thorough analyses of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders. The IT Project Manager will also be responsible for developing project plans, monitoring progress, and resolving conflicts to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous analysis of project mission, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
  • Provide input in facilitating project components related to the project mission, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
  • Participate in the design and/or testing phases of the project as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data to develop, define, and execute project plans, scope, activities, and schedules.
  • Ensure customer requirements are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Escalate project issues and ideas to appropriate stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
  • Develop and define methods to monitor project and area progress.
  • Maintain policies and procedures related to project scope.
  • Develop and define service levels and customer requirements.
  • Conduct research and provide input related to project budget and resource allocation.
  • Provide support through analysis, evaluation, and coordination relative to assigned projects and special requests.
  • Track action items and enter related data/decisions into tracking systems.
  • Provide recommendations and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional certification in a related area is preferred.
  • Experience related to project support in an IT, academic, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Basic project management skills including planning, forecasting time, and organizing resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage aggressive timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including time management skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite of applications preferred.
  • Experience with project management tracking systems/software preferred.
  • Proven ability to rationalize problems and define clear solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to feedback.
  • Excellent team building skills.
