About the position

The Assistant Lead Maintenance Technician at LVL29 Apartments is responsible for performing maintenance tasks and overseeing a team of Maintenance Technicians and Make Ready Technicians. This role involves delegating tasks, managing resident service requests, and ensuring the safety and functionality of the property under the supervision of the Regional Senior Lead Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks personally or delegate to assistants.
• Oversee and inspect work performed by assistants.
• Manage the system for handling resident service requests and correct situations within 24 hours when possible.
• Schedule maintenance personnel for emergency purposes, 24/7.
• Conduct regularly scheduled safety meetings and maintain HAZCOM standards.
• Maintain knowledge of laws and regulations regarding hazardous materials.
• Inspect and maintain the physical property and correct unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate records regarding maintenance activities and expenditures.
• Schedule and perform minor and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Train and assist in the development of subordinate maintenance staff.
• Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance or repair on various systems and structures.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in apartment or multifamily property maintenance required.
• HVAC/EPA certification required.
• CPO certification preferred.
• CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automotive diagnostics.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
