About the position

Gia-Pacific is seeking safety-oriented individuals to join their team as Assistant Machine Operators in McDonough, GA. This role involves assisting operators in the production process, ensuring quality inspections, and maintaining a safe work environment. The position operates on a Dupont schedule with rotating 12-hour shifts, providing opportunities for performance-based compensation and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand all information on job ticket pertaining to a specific job and ensure that all necessary components to produce the job are present.
• Assist operators with preparing rolls for splices and order changes.
• Complete crew members with cleaning and overall maintenance of the machines.
• Loading and unloading of raw materials and waste.
• Perform required quality inspections and tests, while maintaining accurate records of results.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• 6+ months previous experience operating production machinery.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.
• One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry.
