About The Position
Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to join our team at Main Street Lofts in Mansfield, TX. This role is crucial in assisting the maintenance supervisor and ensuring the physical integrity of the property. The Assistant Maintenance will work closely with the leasing team to maximize renewal and leasing opportunities while adhering to safety protocols and company policies. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional service to our residents and maintaining a safe and well-functioning living environment. In this position, you will be responsible for completing service requests made by residents within 24 hours and managing the system for handling these requests. You will also schedule the on-call rotation for the maintenance staff and assist with service as necessary. It is essential to conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, including ADA, Fair Housing, and OSHA regulations. You will assist in distributing flyers and other materials, ensuring that all safety materials are current and accessible, and maintaining accurate records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and the make-ready status of vacant apartments. Your daily tasks will include diagnosing and performing minor or routine maintenance or repairs on various systems and equipment, such as electrical and plumbing systems, A/C and heating systems, appliances, and more. You will also handle on-call duties as needed and participate in standby emergency schedules for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage. Additionally, you will assist in preparing the property for inspections and perform any other duties assigned by the property manager or Regional Community Supervisor.
