About the position
The Assistant Maintenance Manager at The Emery, Malden, MA, is responsible for overseeing daily building maintenance operations and addressing resident work requests. This role requires a proactive individual with hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs, contributing to the overall upkeep of a luxury apartment community. The position emphasizes a commitment to sustainability and community impact, aligning with Veris Residential's mission.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily building maintenance and operations.
- Fill resident work requests, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Complete move-in/move-out inspections and property inspections.
- Multi-task effectively and meet deadlines.
- Be available for emergency/on-call situations, including some weekends.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current, valid driver's license.
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience in HVAC and/or electric maintenance.
- EPA & CPO certification.
- Black Seal License.
- Basic knowledge and experience in repair and troubleshooting of 220 & 120 volts, as well as some low voltage.
- Ability to obtain Fire Safety Manager Certificate.
- Knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Professional appearance and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous maintenance experience in residential real estate and/or hospitality industries.
