About the position
The Assistant Maintenance Manager at Veris Residential, Inc. is responsible for overseeing daily building maintenance operations and addressing resident work requests in a luxury apartment community. This role requires hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs, ensuring the property is well-maintained and meets the needs of residents. Responsibilities
- Perform daily building maintenance and operations.
- Address resident work requests, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and property inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and obtain necessary certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with residents and vendors.
- Be available for emergency on-call situations and work some weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current, valid driver's license.
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience in HVAC and/or electric maintenance.
- EPA & CPO certification.
- Black Seal License.
- Basic knowledge and experience in repair and troubleshooting of 220 & 120 volts, as well as some low voltage.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous maintenance experience in residential real estate or hospitality industries.
