About the position

The Assistant Manager - Account Sales at Urban Decay is a pivotal role designed to support the national accounts team with various analytical duties specific to retailers. This position is crucial for driving sales through comprehensive sales analysis and reporting, aimed at identifying and pursuing growth opportunities within the sales fundamentals. The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with national accounts to ensure that plans are current, including sales reporting, forecasting, inventory management, and order management. This role requires the development of strong collaborative relationships with both internal and external partners at all levels, while upholding the values of Urban Decay to achieve strategic initiatives. In this role, the Assistant Manager will support customer strategies through detailed tracking and analysis of sales and inventory data. This analysis will help identify trends and areas of opportunity that can drive growth. The position also involves maintaining the necessary reporting to effectively run the brand and retailer operations. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for planning and executing various sales processes, including the management of New Item Forms, Vendor Item Set up (PIM), and updates to retail.com sites. Additionally, the role includes tracking and managing retailer contracts with the support of the Senior Manager of Account Sales Planning, as well as handling financial entries related to gross-to-net in the internal system. The Assistant Manager will also assist in compiling communications and reports, managing sample and gratis orders, and planning meetings and events in coordination with cross-functional teams. This includes preparing for key stakeholder meetings and events, creating PowerPoint presentations, and managing miscellaneous coordination tasks. The role requires a proactive approach to assist the sales team with daily tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing sales materials, and managing customer inquiries. Overall, this position is integral to the success of the sales team and the growth of Urban Decay's presence in the prestige beauty industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support the customer strategy through detailed tracking and analysis.
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and opportunity areas for growth drivers.
  • Maintain reporting needs to run the brand/retailer effectively.
  • Plan and execute sales processes including New Item Forms and Vendor Item Set up (PIM).
  • Manage retail.com site updates and product detail pages (PDPs).
  • Track and manage retailer contracts with support from the Senior Manager of Account Sales Planning.
  • Handle financial entries of gross-to-net in the internal system with support from the Senior Manager of Account Sales Planning.
  • Compile communications and reporting as needed.
  • Manage sample and gratis orders.
  • Plan meetings and events, coordinating with cross-functional teams and retailers on key stakeholder meetings and events.
  • Assist the sales team with daily tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing sales materials, and managing customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and interest in the prestige beauty industry.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in the manufacturer or retailer space.
  • Previous experience working directly within the prestige beauty industry and/or with a major beauty retailer is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of retail math.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Self-initiative and proactive skills required.
  • Ability to work independently within a rigorous deadline schedule.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.

Benefits

  • Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 plus bonus plus full-time benefits.
