About the position

The position involves overseeing day-to-day operations of customer service activities at a Hub station for United Airlines. The role focuses on ensuring performance, safety, and customer service while upholding the company's Core4 philosophy. The successful candidate will implement operational plans, manage administrative functions, lead projects, and promote positive employee relations and development.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operational management and oversight of all Customer Service related activities for the Hub station.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on specific areas of the operation including safety, service, and procedures.
  • Implement operational plans in support of the station and United's objectives and goals.
  • Develop and monitor all administrative functions of station related activities within budgetary constraints.
  • Lead projects using the four phases of project management: envision, design, build, and activate.
  • Support the achievement of station operational objectives, goals, and metrics.
  • Promote positive employee and labor relations through ongoing engagement and effective communication.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and feedback to all assigned Supervisors.
  • Support the achievement of cost and revenue goals through staff management and baggage fee enforcement.
  • Manage station safety and security programs to achieve compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of leadership experience in an airport operations environment.
  • At least 1-2 years line station or Hub operational experience.
  • Previous experience leading in a union environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Flexibility to work any shift in a 24-hour, 7-day a week operation, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or related field experience in an airline operational environment.
  • Project Management Experience.
