About the position

The Assistant Manager - AO Projects and Execution at United Airlines is responsible for planning and supervising various airport operations projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget constraints. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams, promoting creativity and teamwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies while enhancing performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise projects to ensure timely completion among diverse groups and within budget.
  • Designate project resources and logistics, supervise progress, and keep team members informed.
  • Lead all aspects of Airport Operations projects and initiatives to drive performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote creativity and teamwork to achieve hub goals.
  • Monitor project progress and keep partners informed.
  • Ensure projects are completed on-time, to specifications, and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with team members for project success.
  • Create detailed project plans to track progress.
  • Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project.
  • Evaluate projects and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Seek feedback from frontline employees and leadership to promote successful change management.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to support objectives.
  • Interact positively with all departments to ensure effective project completion.
  • Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
  • Attend conferences and training to maintain process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Five (5) years of Operations Experience
  • At least three (3) years of Operations Leadership experience
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and web database reporting
  • Ability to present analytical information effectively
  • Knowledge of Operations practices and landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with a shown ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage with leadership at all levels with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to lead and empower team members
  • Commitment to excellence and problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to work weekends and shift work if required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential.
