The Assistant Asset Protection Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the security and safety of the store environment. This position requires a proactive individual who takes ownership of their responsibilities and demonstrates strong time management skills. The ideal candidate will uphold confidentiality and high ethical standards while working closely with the Asset Protection Leadership team to ensure comprehensive building security. A typical day involves responding to and reporting all security and emergency situations within the store. This includes administering first aid, escorting hostile individuals from the premises, and assisting lost children. The Assistant Asset Protection Manager will partner with the Asset Protection Manager to support employees during safety incidents and may participate in the store's Emergency Response team when necessary. Observing customer behavior for signs of theft, such as fraudulent transactions or shoplifting, is a key responsibility, as is coaching Asset Protection employees to meet performance standards. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and approving reports related to Loss Prevention incidents and ensuring proper documentation of detention room videotapes. This position is ideal for someone with a proven track record in investigative and asset protection procedures, who can develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues and leaders. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer systems, including monitoring and surveillance technologies, are essential. Familiarity with APIS and XBR systems is preferred but not mandatory.
